STILL LIFE COLLECTION

In creating her“still life” paintings, Simona follows the footsteps of the Mexican Masters, Impressionists, and countless other artists throughout history.

 

Each still-life subject reveals her memories and sets a mood, for instance, melancholy, joy, or nostalgia.  Her mood impacts the composition (how and what is included in the image) and influences other painting choices.

 

These still-lives are an invitation to dialogue about why an image impacts the artist and maybe also the viewer.
